Q:  I like music, but isn't church music different?
A:  Yes and no. Church music, like all music, comes in different
genres. Church music ranges from classical to popular music.

Q: Why is music so important to Christian worship?
A: Music is important because it touches the deepest part of the
human soul and expresses those
thoughts and emotions that are
most difficult for us to articulate.

Q: What is prayer?
A: Prayer is more than simply talking to God telling God what we
want. It
is opening one's self up to God. Prayer is allowing the soul to
breathe
. But prayer is also an avenue toward the kind of interior
change
many people are looking for. Through prayer God works in
us to allow us to become w
hat we long to be.

Q: Why do churches always have preachers?
A: Preachers are those who help us understand the Bible. This is
important because the Bible is God's self-revelation to humanity.
When preachers are at their best they are explaining, in ways
people can understand, what the Bible says and how we can apply it
to our lives.

Q: The sacraments are confusing to me, what's with baptism
and communion?
A: These sacred acts of worship - that use bread, wine, and water -
communicate to us God's life-transforming grace in ways that are as
powerful as they are mysterious.
